Exclusive Preview of Genting Dream’s Hong Kong Deployment Preparation

Release Time: 2021-07-07

Under the new norm, Dream Cruises strives to provide safe and worry-free cruise vacations for all guests. On 26 May 2021, Dream Cruises officially announced that Genting Dream will resume Hong Kong operations in July, a series of preparation works kicked-off from that day onwards.

Since February last year, Genting Dream has remained in Southeast Asian waters. After the Hong Kong cruise resumption announcement, Genting Dream started to make her way towards Hong Kong on 5 June, and met World Dream in nearby Singapore waters. At that time, Johnny Mehtola, Captain of World Dream immediately took a photo to capture this historical moment.

After 4 days, Genting Dream arrived in Hong Kong waters, and anchored south of Lamma Island to begin her quarantine. All crew members will complete all PCR tests and vaccination before her first sailing on 30 July.

As Genting Dream resumes operation in Hong Kong, we hope that the cruise industry will recover at a steady pace and outbound travel can be resumed so that all guests will be able to enjoy travelling again very soon. Dream Cruises will continue to provide fantastic cruise vacations for all guests, and we look forward to welcoming you onboard for exciting times soon!
